Gloin and his unnamed wife (and baby Gimli). Totally did this with Ask-Gloin in mind! So I obviously love the dwarves. And I’m so intrigued by Dwarf women and children. I know it’s supposedly common knowledge that the Dwarves valued “riches” above anything, BUT THEY DIDN’T. They valued their wives and their babies and their heritage more than any gold. Dwarf women made up less than a 1/3 of the dwarf population, so marriage was rare, as was procreation, hence the dying of their race. It makes my heart cry to think of how much they celebrated a new marriage or the birth of a child. Oh Dwarves, why you gotta be so secretive?!
